Bending and Blurring

How can we know what we see is real? This question has vexed philosophers from Aristotle all the way through to the writers of "The Matrix". The answer, briefly, is that we cannot. Photography has been criticised for being too literal and "realistic" (less so in these days of Adobe), but I believe perception is both highly subjective and malleable so there is room for my interpretation . These images are mostly taken in low levels of natural light, often moonlight, and with slow shutter speeds. The camera is hand held. These pictures are as real as anything else.
